UNICOM® Global Acquires IBM® WebSphere® Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit from IBM Corp.

Acquisition is the 10th Transaction between IBM and UNICOM

MISSION HILLS, CA – March 31, 2016 – UNICOM Systems, Inc. (“UNICOM”) today announced that it has finalized a definitive agreement with IBM Corporation to acquire the IBM WebSphere Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit (“BTT”) suite of products. The acquisition was completed on March 31, 2016. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Multichannel Bank Transformation Toolkit supports faster multichannel application development for the banking industry. BTT provides runtime infrastructure based on IBM WebSphere Application Server to help deliver targeted, multichannel marketing campaigns for retail banking. The solution also provides a development environment with design templates to support high-volume and transactional-oriented banking functions. BTT provides:

  • A multichannel application framework and runtime infrastructure to create banking applications faster.

  • Web-based support and services for enhanced customer experiences.

  • Mobile banking capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.

  • An integrated platform for front-office modernization to transform multichannel banking applications.
